Category: Post-ep for Camelot, Marguerite/Roxton (must I keep repeating that in all my disclaimer stuff??)
Spoilers: Camelot
Authors Notes: I really truly should have been born in the Medieval times (ok, only if it was into royalty that peasant life didnt look too appealing hehehe). Love the costumes, etc this really has nothing to do with the whole story does it?? Huh. Um, well okay, needed a scene between when Marguerite was stabbed and her waking up in the King's tent. So there :p

Lord Roxton held her limp body close, resting her head on his lap. "Your knight in shining armor is never going to let you go," he whispered only loud enough for her ears.
Marguerite's wound was bleeding heavily where the would-be assassins knife had imbedded itself. She had quickly lost consciousness.
Gently, Roxton lifted her off the ground and carried her to the King's tent, placing her on the satin bed and waited for Veronica and Ned to return with bandages. Kneeling beside the bed, he held her hand in his, observing how peaceful she looked.
"If I'm your knight in shining armor, then you must be my lady fair," he whispered, placing a soft kiss on her lips.
He hadn't noticed that King Gawain had slipped inside and was watching.
Moments later, the others returned with the supplies they needed and quietly left Roxton to take care of the wound after receiving a pleading look from him.
With great care and respect, Roxton pulled aside her sleeve and bandaged the wound, all the while whispering softly to her.
When he had finished he took a moment to take in how beautiful she looked. Smiling, he placed another kiss on her forehead and left to tell the others the wound was not as serious as first thought.
King Gawain entered the tent, his broken heart unable to bear the love in Roxton's voice as he talked about Marguerite.
She began to stir and slowly opened her eyes, disappointed that the face staring back at her was Gawain, not Roxton. She smiled at him all the same and proceeded to let him down easy.
